Flyboost
• You are only allowed to flyboost up to 2.0x.
Punishment:
• First Offence Warning
• Second Offence 6h Ban
• Offence 12h Ban
• Fourth Offence 3D Ban

Faction Names and Descriptions
It is forbidden for players to give their faction offensive, racial, biased, or disparaging names. This rule includes the faction description as well. Additionally, it is forbidden for players to make faction descriptions that promote other servers, hide offensive links, etc. Failure to follow this rule will result in the admin discretion and a change in the faction name.

Punishment:
• Players will be asked to change it, if not we will force change the name and the player that picked the name will be banned for 1d.

Corner Claims
After the first 24 hours of SOTW owning more than one corner (across all dimensions) either as one faction or storing corners on alt factions/accounts is illegal.
If a Corner seems to be claimed by a faction without 10+ players it will be removed.

Punishment:
Removal of Claim.

Faction Chunk Buffer Limit
Factions are only allowed 30 chunks of buffer claims (walls) from their base shell. The buffer claims start immediately at the first wall of the base shell.
For two faction bases close together (in the same buffer, corner bases or side boxes) their claims on any side may not exceed 15 chunks.
If you choose to make a gap in your buffer or base (space with nothing), the total chunks of the gap cannot exceed 3 chunks.
PS: The buffer is measured from the exterior wall of your base and does not include your base itself. This does not include any “member boxes” inside of your walls. If caught you will receive a faction warning, after 12 hours if the claims are not removed then the punishment will become more severe. You are only allowed 15 chunks of claims as your buffer (walls & gaps counts towards the total count)
Factions are not permitted to live within another faction's buffer (except allys).
You are permitted to wrap your regens around the base.

Punishment:
• Admin Discretion

Illegal Patching
• You may not patch outside of the base claims of a given faction. This rule also extends to raid/antiraid claims, meaning that patching against a cannon in any form outside of the allowed number of claims for a cannon/base is prohibited on ExtinctionMC.
• You are not allowed to patch a shot to deny a faction from raiding a base if they have raid timer, if they do not have raid timer you are only permitted to hold the shot inline with your cannon box.
You may not use gen buckets to patch walls during an active raid. This includes block generation gen buckets and sand removers.
A raid is considered active when a faction has gone through at least one chunk of walls using a cannon with the intent to raid/breach or if a faction is already in your base.
If the cannon has not been fired in 15 minutes or has been destroyed, the raid will be considered over and you may use gen buckets to patch your walls.
The use of chunk busters is allowed during an active raid, but you will still be unable to gen patch on them.
Shooting once every 10 minutes to extend the duration of the raid will be seen as a bypass. A faction must at least go through 8 walls to refresh the gen patching cooldown.

Punishment:
• 1-2 Faction Strikes + 12h-3d Player Ban

Illegal Blocks on Base
You can only use full blocks on a base with the exception of slabs; however the limit for slabs on a base is 80. You are not permitted to use cobwebs, enderchests, and any other defense deemed too op.

Punishment:
• Removal of Illegal blocks + Faction Strike

Base Limits
You cannot have a base larger than 15x15 chunks (Any gaps between your base and border are considered part of your base).
• Players are permitted to implement reverse layers between base floors.
• You are allowed as many regens as you can fit in your buffer.

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike

Protecting Spawners & Grinder Limitations
All spawners must be placed in your base claim. You are not permitted to make multiple small boxes for your spawners to stop factions from raiding them, for example: making small boxes for the sake of making it harder to raid and not making money from the grinders. You may not surround your spawners in water or lava so that the spawners cannot be destroyed. Not complying with this rule or attempting to bypass it will result in a punishment. For fall grinders, all the spawners which are in fall grinders must be visible and close together, you cannot block them off or put walls between them. Spawner boxes must be atleast 50 blocks tall.

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike + Removal/Opening of Boxes

Farm Limits
The maximum size of a farm can only be 7x7.
All farms will count as a base, this means you will need to follow all base regulations for the farm's walls etc.

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike + Removal of Farm

Cannoning Information

You are allowed to float through the wilderness and enemy claims; however, you are NOT allowed to float OFF someone's claims in order to achieve something.
You can only fire one cannon at a time at one base.
Raiding and Countering cannons require a minimum of a 3-second clock or above. You can fire at a minimum of 0.5 seconds below Y-10.  Cannons that fire multiple shots at once are also included under this rule and are not allowed on ExtinctionMC.
You are allowed to break a wall up to every 3 seconds any attempts to bypass this rule will result in punishment.
You are only allowed to OverStack up to 6 blocks any attempt to bypass this rule will result in punishment.
• You are allowed to swap to a different cannon once it has been 10 minutes since your last shot.
• Any attempt or exploiting your raid timer so competing factions are unable to shoot/raid is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to the example of using alt factions to "raid" your own base to keep the raid timer ongoing. This also includes holding factions on raid timer with no intention of raiding them. Any attempt to by pass or find a loophole around this rule will fall under the "Common Sense" clause.

Punishment:
• 1 to 2 Faction Strikes + 3 to 10 Day Ban to whoever shot the cannon.

Cannon Protection Limits
(NOTE: See Raid Claim/AntiRaid Claim for more information).

There must be a 5 chunk gap between any positive relation (Ally, Truce, or Faction) raid claims
If any Faction has a Claimed Box or PvP claim and no officer or above has been online for more than 5 days, the claims can be requested to be removed, however, they will not be considered illegal. This also applies to wilderness, “grief claims” and warzone claims (not buffer claims).
If a faction chooses to set a shield on a cannon, you may only shoot from said cannon when the shield is off and it can be counter-raided, this includes buffer counters (note that building a cannon behind a shielded one will be seen as a bypass).

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike + Removal of Claims

Raid Claim/AntiRaid Claim Limitations
Your Raid Claims can be a maximum of 12x12, this excludes the float; which can be a maximum of 3 chunks wide and 10 chunks long.
A Cannon Box may not have more than 3 Chunks of Defenses (e.g walls, filters, sand walls, etc.) on each side. If a faction has more Defenses than allowed, the Extra Chunks of Defenses will be Unclaimed. A faction may not patch outside these 3 chunks, this includes patching other cannon boxes whilst they are being shot through.
There must be a 5 chunk gap between any positive relation (Ally, Truce, or Faction) raid claims, if there is not, the claims furthest away from the Base will be Adjusted, this also applies to alt factions of positive relation factions.
For a single faction, there must be a 5 chunk gap between any raid claims (having excessive claims will result in them being removed).
If any Faction has a Claimed Box or PvP claim and no officer or above has been online for more than 5 days, the claims can be requested to be removed, however, they will not be considered illegal. This also applies to wilderness, “grief claims” and warzone claims (not buffer claims).
All Illegal claims will be dealt with immediately upon being reported.
If a faction chooses to set a shield on a cannon, you may only shoot from said cannon when the shield is off and it can be counter-raided, this includes buffer counters (note that building a cannon behind a shielded one will be seen as a bypass).
Defenses from one of your cannon boxes CANNOT be in line with another one of your cannon boxes.
You can have as many up to 16 walls on your Anti-Raidclaim or 2 regens and 12 walls.

Punishment:
• Admin Discretion

CheckBoxes
Checkboxes are an automated system (often created with redstone) that allow players to check their buffers with ease. The following applies to Checkboxes:
• Checkboxes must meet the following criteria:
• The checkbox must be 10 chunks or less from your BASE wall
• AFK pools are NOT permitted inside of your checkbox
• Players are NOT permitted to have an alt consistently just logging in/out from the checkbox to auto-check buffers
• Attempts to undermine this rule could result in your removal from the server (consider this fair warning!)

TNT Detectors
TNT Detectors are prohibited in every single form and are in no way allowed on ExtinctionMC. Anything that sends alerts or notifications when TNT/Sand reaches your land is strictly prohibited.. Discord bots that are used for Wall Checks are allowed.
Bots that also check inventories are in no way allowed.

Punishment:
• Admin discretion

Illegal Cannons
Roof Cannons - Any cannon that shoots at or blows up at or above Y:255.0 is not allowed. This includes trying to bypass walls by shooting at or above Y:255.0. L-Stackers, Anti-Gravity cannons that bypass overstacking limit and Lofter cannons aren't allowed either. Explosions above Y255 is not permitted.

• TNT Arrays (2 Strikes)
• Roof Cannons (2 Strikes)
• Phase Cannons (3 Strikes)
• L Stackers (2 Strikes)
• Lofters (2 Strikes)

NOTE: If you are unsure about the legality of a certain cannon, ask an admin first before using it. DO NOT JUST USE IT.
If you are unsure about what any of these cannons are, check out the Definitions section of this rules page.
Punishment:
• 7d Ban to Involved Players + 1-3 Faction Strikes (Depending on the cannon used, read above for their respective strikes)

Hiding Value
In an attempt to keep the map competitive, hiding value from F-Top will no longer be allowed. You must place spawners in your base to show your real value. However, you must have 80% of your spawner value placed in a legitimate base (criteria listed below). Players and factions must keep spawners in a base that is constantly claimed. Keeping items in a PV, ender chest, unclaimed base, balances, f bank or any other type of storage that is not calculated by F-Top will be considered hiding value. If you wish to receive F-Top rewards for the map, you must also abide to the following criteria:

Value/base regulations
Have your value in your Faction's Claimed Base after grace period ends.
The items that count towards your value must be put into an actual base
The base must contain at least 4 chunks of fully trenched walls.
Actual working grinders need to be set up inside the base.
The faction core has to be set in this base.
100% of your value must be placed in one base, you cannot spread your value out throughout multiple bases.
At least 50% of your total value must be in spawner value.
Above you can see that you need 70% of your spawner value placed. This means it must be in an active grinder. See "Protecting Spawner" rule to know what a valid grinder layout is.
You may not move bases more than one time a week. You cannot move bases during the last 5 days of the map.

Preventing bypasses/Further information
A faction that is moving bases, has recently raided or has just been raided may have up to 24 hours to adjust their value to ensure it follows the criteria above. A faction may have up to 24 hours to adjust their value after a punishment is received.

Punishment:
• 5 Faction Strikes & 50% value reduction.

Mining Spawners while being Raided
This only applies to the base being raided. A raid is considered active when a faction has gone through at least one chunk of walls using a cannon with the intent to Raid/Breach or if a faction is already in your base.
If the cannon has not been fired in 10 Minutes or has been destroyed, the Raid will be considered over and you may mine spawners.
Shooting once every 10 minutes to extend the duration of the raid will be seen as a bypass. A faction must at least go through one chunk of walls within a short period of time to refresh the gen patching cooldown.
Attempting to mine spawners and put them in a position in the same base where they are harder to raid with the same cannon or are unraidable with the same cannon is also disallowed.
Disposing of spawners (burning them, despawning, etc) will be considered as mining value.
In order for the punishment to be given, there must be enough proof to show that the faction is being raided (evidence of shots being fired within the last 10 minutes) and is attempting to move most spawners from a grinder in an attempt to save value. (That it is not a small amount of spawners being mined and that's all)

Punishment:
• 5 Faction Strikes  & Mined Value Given To Faction Attempting

Faction Merging
Factions may not combine with each other at the end of the season to gain an unfair advantage on /f top.
You cannot give any form of value to another faction (spawners/money).
Any merging before grace is permitted
You are permitted to merge players as that is the players’ own decision; this will be considered joining a different faction and not merging. (no value can be taken along when joining the faction). Depending on the amount value maye be removed or faction dq'd.

Punishment:
• DQ To Faction(s) Involved

Strike Evasion
Any factions attempting to evade their strikes by creating a new faction or in any other way will have all strikes given to the new faction.
Similarly,

Raid Interference
Any player or faction that is not an ally of the defending or raiding faction can not intervene (This includes running buffers, checking walls, or in any way helping & aiding during a live raid) with any players/factions participating in the raid.
You are not allowed to counter a faction actively raiding a person that is not allied with your faction. You may not counter cannons that are actively shooting at your truces.
You are not allowed to raid a faction’s base while another faction is already raiding that base. If two factions are found to be raiding the same base at the same time, then the faction who started raiding after the other will be punished.

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike + 5 day ban

Scripting Regen Walls

• Any form of automating the process of making regen walls on your base will result in an instant disqualification from F-TOP.

Taking Loot from Another persons raid
While another faction, that is not your ally, is actively raiding a base, you are not allowed to take any value/loot from that raid until the raid has ended.

Punishment:
• 1 Faction Strike + All value taken given to raiding faction

Faction Insiding
If a player leaves a faction, he can not use any advantages obtained while in said faction to raid it. Some of these advantages are, but not limited to: chunk access, sell chest access, Homes, /backs, alt accounts in the faction or their land, tricking faction members by telling them you are still apart of the faction, intentionally leaving the faction to make it overclaimable.
Using accounts from other players/alt accounts to inside a faction will result in a punishment for the user who conducted the inside.
"Fake checking" walls will be considered insiding.
If you are kicked you cannot do anything listed above or anything in the nature of insiding.

Punishment:
• 14d Temporary Ban
